Hello, friends!

I’m so excited to share the story behind Anchored & Abiding and how this community came to life. God has placed a deep desire in my heart to create a space where Christian women can come together, grow in faith, and be rooted in His truth. Through prayer, reflection, and a journey of obedience, I’ve seen His vision unfold for Anchored & Abiding. It’s not just a project; it’s a calling—a calling to provide resources, encouragement, and fellowship as we all walk in our faith journeys.

Over the past 12 years, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to blogs, develop online communities, and create content that connected with others. While those endeavors were fulfilling in their own ways, none of them pointed back to the One who gives true purpose. This time, it’s different. This time, everything I create is for His glory. Anchored & Abiding is not about me—it’s about building something that magnifies God’s name and equips others to live lives fully devoted to Him.

The name Anchored & Abiding reflects the core values of this community: being firmly rooted in God’s Word, finding peace in His presence, and living out our faith every day. Jesus calls us to remain connected to Him, like branches abiding in the vine (John 15:5), and it’s this deep connection that anchors us through life’s trials and triumphs.

A little about me: My name is Deanna, and I’m a wife, a mother, and a woman whose heart beats to see others grow in their relationship with Christ. With a background in psychology and a passion for advocating for others, I’ve always been drawn to understanding people and helping them flourish in every aspect of life. As a mom, a homeschooler, and someone active in my church, I understand the importance of finding balance, grace, and community in our busy lives. Anchored & Abiding was born out of a desire to offer a place for women to find resources that will help them grow in their walk with God, encourage one another, and deepen their understanding of His Word.

I truly believe that when we are anchored in God’s truth and abiding in His presence, we can live lives full of purpose, peace, and joy no matter what life throws our way.

Anchored & Abiding will be a space where contributors come together to provide devotionals, Bible study insights, encouragement for everyday life, and personal stories about their own walk with God. In addition to the blog, we have a supportive Discord community where women gather for Christ-centered chats, daily devotionals, and video chat Bible studies. I pray that each post and every interaction will remind you of the incredible love God has for you and the ways He’s calling you to grow in faith.
